Washington, D.C.

This was an unplanned day trip to a friend in DC in 2004. While waiting for her to get home we parked the car and walked around the city to see the monuments. Every visitor to the US and certainly every American should visit here. There is so much history here to see.

Since the earthquake in 2011, the reflecting pool has had to undergo serious repairs. After that is completed we will have to take another trip to this part of DC again. We were actually visiting this area during the earthquake of 2011, but we were only able to visit the Smithsonian Museums and never got to see the National Mall. Oh well, next time.
